Project for the maritime industry

Realization for an Estonian company from the marine industry-production of 278 ventilation ducts made of 316L stainless steel

Challenge

A customer from Estonia turned to Verum Steel with an urgent order for the prefabrication of ventilation ducts made of 316L stainless steel with a thickness of 2-3 mm. The main challenges were:

  • time pressure — extremely short lead time,
  • the risk of thermal deformation of thin sheets,
  • the need to maintain a hygienic standard of performance.

Implementation step by step

Work began with 3D modeling in Autodesk Inventor on the basis of the provided 2D documentation.then the team went to the stage of prefabrication:

  1. Laser cutting of steel components.
  2. Bending and rolling components for precise dimensions.
  3. TIG welding and laser welding-ensuring aesthetics and tightness of welds.
  4. Digestion and passivation to obtain a hygienic surface resistant to corrosion.

Thanks to the good organization of work and the experience of the team, the project was carried out on time, observing all quality requirements.

End result

The ventilation ducts were delivered on time and met the highest quality standards. The client was fully satisfied with the results and ordered further projects, which confirms the effectiveness of Verum Steel processes and the professionalism of our team.
